Early Birds
Saturday 23 September and Saturday 28 October 2023 | 08.30 – 10.00
Early Birds is a sensory friendly event for families with members who benefit from visiting the museum outside regular hours.
The Early Birds accessible events are completely free and suitable for families with children aged 4–15. Siblings are welcome to attend, but all children and adults attending the event will need to book.
As well as exploring some of the galleries and taking part in fun activities, you can also visit our Sensory Den should you want to take a break and recharge!
Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery
08.00 – 09.45
During Early Birds, you can also visit Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery at a reduced price. Fuel your imagination and immerse yourself in a world of wonder at the most spectacular interactive gallery in the world.
Please note that certain interactive exhibits will be switched off due to the nature of the event, or will have reduced volume levels.
Power-Up
08.00 – 09.45
Power Up is back! At this hugely popular sensory-friendly session you’ll be able to play more than 160 consoles from retro arcade classics to the latest VR technology, free from the hustle and bustle of the general public.
Booking your Early Birds ticket, you will also be able to book tickets for Power Up, at a reduced price. Game on!
Visual Story and Sensory Map
The museum has a Visual Story and Sensory Map which can give you and your group a preview of what to expect during a visit, and help you find areas of the museum most appropriate for you.
